Chip was working on his first feature film, Song of the Dead (SOTD), during the first shoot of Mil Mascaras vs. the Aztec Mummy. Post-production for SOTD was completed at Pal's media lab and is where Jeff, Pal, and Chip first worked together. Chip later took over as director of the Mummy film, and he subsequently directed Academy of Doom (AoD) and the Emmy- nominated documentary, Joplin Missouri - A Tornado Story.
His cousin, Bob Swope, was an Emmy Award-winning editor who worked as a producer and editor for SOTD and AoD. Below shows Chip and Bob during a meal break during filming of AoD.
